Teacher candidates will complete at least twelve weeks of full-time student teaching. Teacher candidates will collaborate with their cooperating teacher and their university supervisor to design a graduated take over of teaching that enables the teacher candidate to lead teach full-time for a minimum of 4 weeks. With guidance from their cooperating teacher and university supervisor, teacher candidates will develop daily lesson plans, create and implement assessments of student learning, provide social-emotional learning opportunities for students, support classroom organization and management, and collaborate with school colleagues to serve the needs of students.
